Welcome to the Operation Write Home Memorial Day Bloghop!

If you came from Jennifer's wonderful blog you are on the right track. She has tons of beautiful cards.

If you did not start at the beginning of the hop you can start here http://www.owhstarsandstamps.org/

If you do not know what Operation Write Home is please check out the web site at http://www.operationwritehome.org/

OWH is an organization that makes cards and sends them to our troops serving overseas so they can keep in touch with family and friends. Crafters from all over make cards that range from miss you, love you, thinking of you to birthday, Mother's Day and Christmas. We do almost anything. We also send them hero mail to let them know how much we appreciate their service. I am a crafter and I love being able to do this little thing for our troops.

One of the hardest things for me to remember when making cards is NO GLITTER!!! I am a girly girl and I like to put sparkles on everything. I always have to remind myself to STAY AWAY FROM THE GLITTER! It puts our troops in danger and is not allowed.

I do not have any family serving overseas but I have a friend JoNell and her husband Al has been serving overseas for a long time. He is scheduled to be home in early July and I know JoNell is counting the days.

This is from my friend JoNell

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone that is involved with Operation Write Home. The time and effort that you put into making cards for service members overseas is greatly appreciated. My husband is currently deployed and I know that everyone at his base is thankful for those of you that take the time to send cards over there to them so they can write home to their loved ones. Thank-You from the bottom of my heart for your generosity.

Last but not least is my card. I decided to make a simple miss you card. I hope you are having fun.

Please come back and visit me again.

The next stop on the hop is Melissa at http://melissaccreates.blogspot.com She has a great card for you.

Happy Memorial Day!
