Simple Sympathy card for a friend

My friend lost her father in law this week. I sent her this card. It was simple but said what I wanted it to say. On the inside it said "I'm praying for you".
The paper is DCWV.

OWH Challenge #27

Here is the weekly sketch.

Here is my card.

Yes it is a holiday card. We have to be way ahead of the holidays because of the delays in shipping but these are extra early because our shippers asked us to work on holiday cards.

OWH Challenge -a card for kids

This weeks mid-week challenge was to make a card that a soldier could send home to their child. My normal thought process always goes to girls and birthday cards so that is what I did.

I hope a little girl is happy to receive this card in the mail.

OWH Challenge #25

This is the sketch

This is my card. I wanted to do something in the center but I wanted to stay with the squares.

It says Happy Birthday in blue. You can see it better in person.

The colors are bad. The card is baby pink. The PP is purple backround and the large square is lime green.

More cookies- cupcakes

I made these cookies for a friend that was having a birthday. I knew I would see her on her birthday and I wanted to give her a little something. I am not in any way and expert but I will say these tasted good. I hated to give them up. My kids hated it too.

Operation Write Home- Blog Tour

In honor of America's Birthday this weekend we are having a blog tour. It is similar to the large blog hop but not as much work for those involved. Our only assignment was to make a birthday card. I had a hard time coming up with a good design. I decided on this- simple yet it gets the point across.

All of the color was heat embossed onto a simple white card.

If you would like to tour with us you can see all of the blog that are participating here Operation write Home. We will be doing this all weekend so please check back on Saturday and Sunday.
